Directing credits include: The Taming of the Shrew (Jack Studio Theatre, Brockley),  The Merry Wives of Windsor – adapted by Ellen Terry (Boiler House Theatre, Egham), and Tornado (the Significant Other Festival, the Vaults).  She has also directed for new writing nights at the Southwark Playhouse, Theatre N16, and the Lion & Unicorn Theatre.  Sara is also a dramaturg and researcher and has a PhD in Shakespeare.

Sorry, My Compassion Is On The Blink

​It's the 22nd century. Alpha and Beta are about to have a little test. In an inhuman world, they have to prove which of them is the most human. Whoever fails to pass the test will have the contents of their mind wiped, so they've decided that revision would be a good idea, but how do you revise showing how human you are?

I'm a writer from Sunderland, living in London, eager to get more of my work staged and to collaborate on theatre, radio or screen projects. I've had sketches and one-liners broadcast on BBC Radio Four Extra's comedy series Newsjack, and most recently had a short play about the Dadaist anti-art movement performed script-in-hand at the King's Arms Theatre in Salford. When I'm not writing, I'm a Web developer and tech lead on the theatre websites stagefaves.com and mytheatremates.com.

Lil has been creating for performance since she was 17. A writer/director/performer she has produced stand-up, one woman shows, pantomimes, adaptations, books and an original App! Her work has been produced at The Gilded Balloon, Pleasance, Hackney Empire, The Arts Theatre, Hoxton Hall, Riverside Studios, BAC and Hope Theatre. In 2018 her Victorian Gang musical ORANGES and ELEPHANTS (with Jo Collins) was presented at Hoxton Hall. Later in
2019 she is directing FINE & DANDY by Sue Frumin in The Queer Season at The King’s Head and her own adaptation of THE HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES at Abney Park Cemetery.

Nick, a cleaner in an observatory, is trying to have a quiet lunch at work with his astronomer friend, Alice. However, when a particularly difficult crossword puzzle gets in the way, their differing views on the universe interrupt the peaceful hour.

A writer from Scunthorpe in North Lincolnshire and graduated from the Department of Theatre, Film and Television at the University of York in 2018. Currently applying for MA Playwriting and Screenwriting courses in London for 2019. Previous work includes 'Seventeen Minutes and Twelve Seconds', a play about a relationship breaking down against the backdrop of an impending nuclear war, which received a rehearsed reading at Venture Fest in York in 2018.

Laura is an award-winning film and theatre director. After completing a Master’s degree at RADA, she directed plays at the Tristan Bates, Bread & Roses and Rosemary Branch Theatre and RADA Festival, and has collaborated with several companies across London. Growing up in Germany before moving to the UK to study Art History and Film Studies at the University of Sussex, and fluent in five languages since childhood, Laura’s international identity informs her work. She has been playing the piano for two decades and often uses music as a tool of communication and facilitation in development, rehearsal and performance.
Laura is the co-founder of Experimentorium and her most recent theatre credit is The Enemies, which earned several four star reviews. Her latest short film Fragmentshas won numerous awards and is currently in competition for international festivals. Her experience includes devising, drama, musical, classics, film, adaptation and new writing.
